She Writes: Celebrating the Voice of Women

March is Women’s History Month and IKAM Productions invites you to spend the entire month

looking into the kaleidoscope and use the light of knowledge, character, history and culture as we

celebrate the beauty of women. 

Kaleidoscope of Excellence: Women Shaping Our Future is a series of events that include a

health symposium, an inspirational journey of reflection and remembrance, and an 

honoring of knowledge will be some of the highlights of Kaleidoscope of Excellence. 

Our goal is to recognize and celebrate the woman as a whole in the following areas:

Business, Film, Community, Written Expression and Health/Fitness.

One aspect of the month is called She Writes, which will be a day long event for all

members of the writing community.  It will serve as a way to connect published writers, 

aspiring writers, journalists, commercial writers, creative writers, publishers and literary 

agents through a series of panels, seminars and workshops.

The Write Stuff: Can I Make Writing My Career?

This panel of published authors, bloggers and essayist will discuss how they managed to turn their love of writing into a successful career. Join us as we discuss writing with Lisa Baron, Ginger E. Schlanger, and more!

1 pm – 2:30 pm

Writing in the Round: Songwriting 101

A panel of independent and established singer/songwriters discusses how they combined their love of music and the written word into a successful career. This is a great panel for aspiring singer/songwriters as panelists discuss the fundamentals of songwriting, what makes a great song and how to get your song to the masses.

3:30 pm – 5 pm

Author invitational

Join this panel of published authors as they discuss the process of writing a book from its inception to it reaching millions of readers at the local bookstore. Featuring Goldie Taylor and Stephanie Jones!
